Just For Fun

Why do you race?
AJ: I race because my dad does and I find it fun. You can learn a lot of life skills through drag racing.
Alicia: I wanted to race because my dad and older brother do and I thought it was so cool and wanted to try it too. Now, I love it! I love all of the people we race with, it's like a family.

What is your favorite racing memory and why?
AJ: I have many favorites. One is that I ran the Lucas Oil Divisional event at New England Dragway in NH in September, 2018. I got a perfect light in the re-run of the semifinals and went on to win the event. Another favorite memory is winning the track championship for my class in 2018. They are favorite memories because it was hard work and I accomplished my goals.
Alicia: Last year (2018) was my rookie season and at the Division 1 Jr. Championships, I was runner-up and got a trophy almost as big as I am. We were at a new race track and were racing some really great drivers.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
AJ: I do not know exactly but I think either a race car driver or a mechanic.
Alicia: I want to be a race car driver.

If you were a racing coach, what would you tell your driver?
AJ: Focus on yourself. Don't worry about who is in the other lane, just focus on yourself.
Alicia: Focus on yourself...don't worry about who is in the other lane.

Choose a racing superpower!
AJ: Super consistency. This super power makes me consistent all the time...with my lights as well as my ET.
Alicia: Always get a good light and never go red!

If your dragster could talk, what would it say?
AJ: Thanks for keeping me so clean!
Alicia: My dragster would say good job keeping me so clean!

What would you wish for if a genie gave you 3 wishes?
AJ: I would wish that we could race at more tracks, be famous for racing, win back-to-back championships
Alicia: More consistent good lights, no rain on race days, more tracks closer to us so we can race at more tracks

Just For Fun

Why do you race?
I race because it is my passion, and it is what I like to do.

What is your favorite racing memory and why?
My favorite memory was doubling up the weekend of the 2018 Desert Storm Shootout at Tucson Dragway.  It was my first time that I had been back in the car since losing my Grandfather/Crew Chief, and I went out and won it all.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a mechanic and drive a funny car.

If you were a racing coach, what would you tell your driver?
I would tell my driver to go out and do their best, and no matter what happens you learn, and that is always a good thing.

Choose a racing superpower!
I would want to have the super power of having a .010 or better light every time I run.

If your dragster could talk, what would it say?
It would tell me to stay calm, and don't think...just do it!

What would you wish for if a genie gave you 3 wishes?
I would wish for a fast race car, a great future, and one more race with my Grandfather there.
