All About Racing       How did you get into Jr Dragster?  Auston:  Went and watched dad race and wanted to race. Dalton:  Dad took us to the races to watch him and I loved it. I had to race. What is your favorite thing about racing? Auston:  Going fast. Dalton:  My favorite thing is making lots of friends, having loads of fun and racing my brother (my favorite driver). What is your favorite track to race on? Auston & Dalton:   Ohio Valley Dragway What are some of your racing accomplishments?  Auston:  Won a Walley in only my second race, have several wins and several runner ups.  Got to race in a Division 3 race. Dalton:  5 race wins, too many runner ups to count, got to race in the Division 3 Race of Champions in 2016.   What are some wise words for new racers? Auston:  "Stay focused and don't worry." Dalton:  "Don't get discouraged, work hard for what you want to be, have fun, most of all safety first."

Life Off the Track   What activities do you enjoy outside of racing? Auston:  Playing soccer, shooting archery, riding bikes. Dalton:  Archery, BETA Club, Academic Team, riding 4 wheelers, racing my friends on bikes or anything else. What are your plans after racing junior? Auston:  Go into a big car. Dalton:  I want to race a big dragster. What are your dreams for the future? Auston:  Want to be a pro racer. Dalton:  I want to be a lawyer and race prostock.

All About Racing    How did you get into Jr Dragster?  My dad has drag raced since he was 16 years old so I was born into a car loving family.  I couldn't wait to join my dad in racing. What is your favorite thing about racing? My favorite thing about racing is spending every weekend with my family at the track.  Both my parents race so it is our family hobby.  The friends I have made at the track are like family to me. What is your favorite track to race on? "My wise words would be to watch and learn everything you can from other racers to make you a stronger racer." Life Off the Track What activities do you enjoy outside of racing? I enjoy hunting, fishing and spending time with family. What are your plans after racing junior? I plan to race our family's footbrake car and hopefully our family's super pro car after I age out of juniors. What are your dreams for the future? Quick Facts Name:  Mary Bannister       Age:  15  Hometown:  Glenelg, Maryland                                   Home Track: Mason Dixon Dragway Team/Crew name:  MEB Motorsports Crew Members are: Big Tom Bannister (part time crew chief, full time dad) and Tab Bannister (part time slo mo photographer)

All About Racing      How did you get into Jr Dragster?  My dad used to race a 71 Nova at 75/80 Dragway.  As I went to national events, I saw the junior dragsters and instantly knew that I wanted to race. What is your favorite thing about racing? My favorite part about racing is the adrenaline rush.  As soon as you hit the throttle, it is an unexplainable feeling. What is your favorite track to race on? Numidia Dragway, because I love the views of the mountains of Pennsylvania. What are some of your racing accomplishments?  2014 Turkey Run winner (rookie season) 2016 Labor Day Weekend winner 6th out of 35 points at Mason Dixon Dragway What are some wise words for new racers? "Find your routine. Setting a routine while you're getting ready in your car helps you to focus and stay calmer.  Also, try to talk to other racers about how they hit the tree, drive the finish line, etc.  It really helps you learn other techniques."

Life Off the Track   What activities do you enjoy outside of racing? I love playing softball on a travel team, as well as playing varsity for high school.  Aside from sports, I love working on my dad's cars or riding the ATV. What are your plans after racing junior? I would love to race a super comp dragster, although I hope to be racing a 69 or 70 Mustang in the Super Pro class. What are your dreams for the future? My dreams for the future are to attend college at the University of Alabama, as well as hopefully racing a top fuel dragster.
